Born in 1980 and growing up with two brothers 8 years and 10 years older than I, I was heavily influenced by them and the culture they had been a part of... Hip Hop, breaking and my biggest love... Graff. I haven't exactly had the easiest of lives but who has? And that isn't a cry for sympathy, as whenever life has been challenging I have channeled my emotions and feelings in music and art.

Which ever way you look at it art and music tend to come hand in hand, and I have sometimes found it difficult to balance them both and concentrate on one more than the other. As with all forms of art I have massive inspirations and influences, but I like to think of my art as being my own and also that of my alias STER ONE 1.

Needless to say being in the UK through out my teens and studying at college and university in different city's, I soon sprayed my new name around. Tagging, dubs, throw ups, pieces and even a few burners. Annoying a few people along the way as well(apologies). I went by a different identity at the time, and then a close encounter with the Police resulted in me erasing this identity and becoming STER ONE 1 (which is a registered trademark so don't copy my stuff man). No regrets... just fond memories, and now living in the beautiful Channel Isles this is certainly an area in the world inwhich I don't condone ilegal graffiti.

I still obviously love to paint and I now do community projects, festivals, commission works, murals, canvas, trainers, my own clothing... in fact... you name it and I'll paint it.
